	NIO does provide an opportunity to the students (or any group having interest in oceanography) to visit us with prior appointment on any working day and understand about oceanographic studies that we carry out. While you are welcome to visit this institute, we would organize your visit better if advance intimation is sent to us and the consent is sought. Such groups are taken to the displays available at NIO, shown films about our work and oceanography in general as well as taken to the specific laboratories of specific subject interest.
