76th Annual Meeting of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore; 12 to 14 November 2010

The National Institute of Oceanography, Goa, will host the 76th Annual Meeting of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore, from 12 to 14 November 2010. This Academy, founded in 1934 by Prof. C. V. Raman, serves to advance science and technology in the country through dissemination of information and facilitating interactions between researchers and academicians. For facilitating the latter the Academy schedules it Annual Meetings at various venues covering the length and breadth of the country. During these meetings the scientific presentations range from public lectures to specialized presentations by eminent scholars in the country. Special efforts will be made during the Annual Meeting to bring students, teachers and scientist together under one roof to promote their interactions and to strengthen science base and curriculum in the country.
