Rich data-sets for oceanographers

Data collected on various cruises of research vessels of and/or hired by NIO is made publicly available to other researchers on this website. The parameters include:

Chemical: Oxygen, nutrients, other aspects such as pH, NH4, Alkalinity, etc.
Physical: CTD (Temperature, salinity), XBT (Temperature), MBT (Temperature), DBT (Temperature) and Hydrocast (Temperature, salinity)
Biological: Chlorophyll, Primary productivity, Zooplankton production (Depth, Haul, Biomass, Dry-weight) and Zoobenthos (depth, species, benthos, sediment)

Besides, the data inventory of various cruises are also publicly available. One can search on any of these parameters by providing geographic coordinates, dates of data collection, research vessel, cruise number, etc. A graphic output shows the availability of data (red dots indicate data beyond Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of India which can be downloaded by any one whereas the blue dots indicating EEZ data which is available to Indian researchers only after submission of credentials, etc).
