   Young Scientist Award to Lidita  
Dr Lidita Khandeparker has received a Young Scientist Award of CSIR in the field of Earth, Atmosphere, Ocan and Planetary Sciences. The CSIR Young Scientist Award recognizes the inhouse talents across the laboratories in different disciplines. She has been working in various capacities with Dr AC Anil and Dr S Raghukumar since her joining NIO. She was inducted as Scientist B in March 2007. She worked on the chemically-mediated signaling systems (signal transduction pathways) involved in marine invertebrate larval settlement and the influence of biofilms. She is the first lady scientist to get this award from the institute. She has over 13 papers published in several journals of repute during her career at NIO.
