Lidita Khandeparker receives CSIR Young Scientist Award 2008

Dr. Lidita Khandeparker receives CSIR Young Scientist Award 2008 Dr. Lidita Khandeparker, of the National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, has been awarded the Young Scientist Award of CSIR in the field of Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences. She is the first lady scientist at NIO to receive this honor. Dr Lidita's pioneering contribution in understanding the relevance of biofilms in the marine environment has acknowledged this contribution for the award. She was presented a citation, cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-, and a plaque during the 67th Annual CSIR Foundation Day Celebration held on 26th September at National Physical Laboratory (NPL), New Delhi. The award was presented to her by the Honorable Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Shri Kapil Sibal.
