Dr. Unnikrishnan again on the role of Lead Authors in IPCC team
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a scientific intergovernmental body tasked with evaluating the risk of climate change caused by human activity. The panel was established in 1988 by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), two organizations of the United Nations. The IPCC shared the 2007 Nobel Prize for Peace for the report on Climate Change in which Dr. A. Unnikrishnan, a senior scientist from NIO, was one of the ‘Lead Authors’.

The Bureau of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change during their recently held meeting in Geneva selected author teams for the fifth Assessment Report (AR5) in which Dr. Unnikrishnan has again been invited to be one of the Lead Author for a chapter on 'Sea Level Change'.
