changed it's scope from volume 7. It considered including research papers and notes on different disciplines of marine sciences besides sections on news & comments and book reviews. With the volume 23 (year 1990), the scope was expended to include the research papers on limnology as well and the ownership was transferred to the Indian Association for Limnology and Oceanography. The frequency of the publishing was also changed from quarterly (4 issues per year) to half yearly (2 issues per year). The journal ceased to publish after volume 28 in the year 1995.
The library of the National Institute of Oceanography has scanned all old issues and placed them online
