   CSIR Young Scientist Award 2011 to Dr. Rajeev Saraswat  
Dr. Rajeev Saraswat, a Scientist from the National Institute of Oceanography, has been shortlisted for the CSIR Young Scientist Award in the field of Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences. Dr Saraswat’s pioneering contribution in the paleo-climatic studies during the last five years has acknowledged this contribution for the award.

Dr. Saraswat will be presented with a citation, cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- and a plaque during the 69th Annual CSIR Foundation Day Celebration held on 26th September 2011 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

His professional interests are in the Application of stable isotopic and elemental analysis of microorganisms for paleoclimatic and paleoceanographic reconstruction. Dr. Saraswat is also a recipient of Young Scientist Award by The Indian Science Congress Association during 2006 – 2007. Read more about Dr. Saraswat here.
