  • Spent about 1200 days at sea on various Indian and foreign research vessels and 300 field days on land for acquisition of geological and geophysical data.
  • Several scientific presentations were made at different national and international Earth Science forums and at different institutions in India and abroad.
  • Regularly interact with several reputed scientists of USA, UK, France, Germany, Norway, Russia, etc. on Indian Ocean aspects. Overseas research students quite often discuss their scientific problems on Indian Ocean and get guidance from me.
  • Several papers were reviewed for national and international journals. Scientific papers were referred more than 600 times by the scientists from India and abroad.
  • Chaired the scientific session " Research Advances on the Geologic, Tectonic, and Geochemical Evolution of the Indian Ocean Seafloor and its Margins” during the AGU 2008 Fall Meeting held at San Francisco, USA
