The NIO library has been recognised as the National Information
Centre for Marine Sciences (NICMAS) since mid 90s. While catering
to the needs of the users from within the institute, it is also
committed to serve the marine information seekers within and
outside India.
Most of the operations in the library have been computerised
and it uses ISIS based softwares at backend. The electronic
resources are open to the institute staff on the Intranet
library server.
The library is open from 09:00 - 13:15 and 13:45 - 17:30
hrs on all working days.
The information and facilites made available over here are
basically meant for the users outside the institute.
